What Is a Courier Tracking System?
Courier tracking systems are a type of courier tracking software used by logistics companies to update all parties on the status of a parcel or package.
When you place an order with us, we will prepare and ship your package. The responsibility of delivery is then transferred to the courier and you will receive a tracking number that allows you to look at where your package currently is.
When the barcode is scanned, this updates the tracking system so that you can enter your tracking number and get a clear picture of where your parcel is and the delivery status.
Most couriers will also offer an estimated delivery date but it’s important to keep in mind that there are factors in the delivery management process that could affect accurate delivery schedules. Moreover, your courier should provide you with updates in the event that there is a change to the delivery schedule. This will typically be done via email.
We would also like to remind our valued customers that, during busy periods, such as Christmas, the delivery times may be a little longer.

So, How Does a Courier Tracking System Work?
Every package that passes through the courier system will be assigned its own barcode and corresponding tracking number. As the parcel moves through the system, it is scanned by anyone who comes into contact with it. This may be the person that collects the package from the seller, someone in the warehouse and the delivery person. When the barcode is scanned, this updates the tracking system so that you can enter your tracking number and get a clear picture of where your parcel is and the delivery status.

Help, My Shipment Tracking Number Isn't Working
As soon as the courier receives the package from us, it is assigned a tracking number to be able to locate updates in the package tracking system. However, it can take some time for this number to go live in the delivery tracking system and for you to be able to see updates. Once the barcode has been scanned for the first time, you’ll have access to all the relevant information. How Long Does It Take Santoku Knives to Deliver Orders?
We ship around the world and our aim is to have your order with you within 7 to 10 days. This applies to locations such as the UK, the USA and Europe. However, we have to stress that remote locations could take a little longer with the standard being around 15 days.We would also like to remind our valued customers that, during busy periods, such as Christmas, the delivery times may be a little longer.
Factors That Can Affect Delivery Times
Our main aim is to ensure that you receive your order in good time. However, there are some factors that can affect delivery times and we thank you for your patience with this.
For example, we only ship Monday to Friday but this excludes Bank Holidays. If you place an order over the weekend before a Bank Holiday then there will be a slight delay. What’s more, very busy periods see us receiving more orders than usual. While we always aim to ship them as quickly as possible, there may be short delays.
There are also some factors that are outside of our control.
Once the package is handed over to the courier, we do not have access to any package tracking information. If you have any concerns then it’s important to contact the courier directly who will be able to give you the most accurate information.
In recent times, there have been Royal Mail strikes which have seriously affected the delivery process on items being transported by this company. While we are sorry for delays related to strikes, this is unfortunately something that we have no control over. However, please be assured that we are doing all we can to get your order to you as quickly as we possibly can.
